After months of researching, I've come up with so many conflicting sources and so much conflicting evidence that it is nearly impossible to discern the truth. Still, much of it is interesting. In fact, my research has been incredibly forensic in its nature, and I still have to make a multitude of arguable conjectures. So you are left to scour microfilm, read as much as you can, and talk to town historians, but even then the historians know nothing directly about the man.
