nyc: I'm a single woman going to NYC I need to know what are the safest neighborhoods where rent isn't extremely crazy. I realize that this is one the most expensive and high crime cities in the country but I'm self employed so I'm not looking for a penthouse just my own place no matter how small as long as it's in a safe area.
